Cicely was born with NEC, a rare disease in full-term babies. We are fortunate she recovered from it so quickly (about 3 weeks) as it can take several months. This meant that she could not eat for the first 2 weeks of her life and had to be introduced to food very slowly. Thankfully she liked mommy's milk. :)
Mickey's family came here from Denmark to lend their support and to be here for when Cicely was first born. Their prayers, along with the prayers and well-wishes from our entire family and friends, have been a blessing that we think helped her recovery process. So.... THANK YOU!!!
Cicely became a movie star not long after she was born. The Children's Miracle Network wanted to interview us and put her on TV to help their fundraiser. Although Cicely slept through the whole thing - we think it's still cool that she made it local TV!
Cicely is a very alert baby. She enjoys staring at people with her pretty big blue eyes, being cuddled, and she'll even give us the most precious smiles! But the best moment we had with her was when we finally got to take her home after 3 long weeks!
